About Us

JMC Photo & Digital Services is a second-generation photo-finishing lab that was originally started by Jim And Mary Charback (thus the JMC in JMC) under the name of JMC Productions.

Started right smack dab in the middle of the family living room, Jim created slides for presentations and processed slide film as an offshoot to the Illinois Farm Bureau photo lab he was then employed by. As the need grew, so did the business. Jim and Mary were able to start working at JMC full-time and moved the business to Towanda Plaza in Bloomington, IL where they continued to work full-time for many years.

Their dream came true in 1989 when they built a brand new building to house the growing business of JMC Productions. After the move to the new location, JMC became a full service lab offering slide processing and color and black & white film processing and printing services. By this time, their two daughters, Ann and Cathy, came on board full-time.

Jim always felt the one thing that would keep customers coming back to JMC was quality. Jim always prided himself on giving customers the quality they expect and deserve. To this day, Ann and Cathy carry that legacy on.

In 2001, JMC productions became JMC Photo & Digital Services, Inc. With the expansion of our services into the digital arena, we felt the need to showcase not only who we are, but what we do. Including the traditional services we offer, we now have the ability to print digitally, restore and re-create old photographs, as well as produce and create graphic images,

Credit for the artistic abilities goes to JMC's long time employee, Tony Ragusa. Tony has been with JMC for over 10 years and continues to amaze us with his artistry (i.e. this Web site).
